Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about pasting a job description, previewing questions for free, unlocking the full kit, and keeping your preparation private.
What is top20interviewquestions.com?
A precision interview preparation tool. Paste a job description and receive 20 interview questions and 20 Foundational Questions — all traced back to that specific role. Nothing generic, nothing pulled from a template bank.
How does it work?
Paste your full job description on the homepage and click to analyse it. The system reads your posting, shows you what role and skills it detected, then generates 3 free preview questions. If you want the full kit, pay $2 once. Your Foundational Questions and Top 20 arrive shortly after. Download the .txt file and keep it permanently.
Who is this for — candidates or interviewers?
Both. Candidates use the kit to study in order, rehearse answers, and review keywords the night before. Interviewers use the same output as a live evaluation rubric — each question comes with keywords to check whether a candidate's answer covers what the job description actually demands.
What do I need to get started?
Only the job description you are preparing for or hiring against. Paste it exactly as posted — company name, responsibilities, requirements, and skills. No account, no sign-up, no dropdowns to fill in first.
Does output quality depend on my job description?
Yes. The more detail you paste, the richer and more specific your kit. Questions and keywords are traced to what you provide. A brief posting still gets a usable kit — thinner input means thinner output, so paste the full posting when you can.
What should I include when pasting a job description?
Copy everything the recruiter posted — do not summarise or trim. Include company name, job title, responsibilities, required skills, experience level, tools, qualifications, and any must-haves the posting mentions. The goal is to give the system the same depth of information you had when you read the role. More recruiter detail in means more accurate, in-depth questions out.
Is there a free preview before I pay?
Yes. After you paste your JD, the system analyses it and generates exactly 3 interview questions with 5 revision keywords each — free. You can confirm the role was read correctly, read the preview questions, and decide whether the full kit is worth $2 before paying anything.
Limit: up to 3 free previews per rolling 24 hours for the same network and browser. Completing a paid kit adds 3 more free previews for 24 hours. Free preview sessions are removed after 24 hours; your download remains yours.
How much does the full kit cost?
$2, one time. No subscription, no recurring charge, no upsell tiers. One payment unlocks the complete kit for that job description. See Pricing for everything included.
What is included in the full kit?
Role clarity from your JD, 20 Foundational Questions with 3-point answer outlines, 20 interview questions with follow-ups and outlines, optional Resume Story and 20 Resume Questions when you paste a resume, and a formatted .txt download you keep forever.
What does "JD-traced" mean?
Every question and keyword traces to a specific phrase or requirement in your pasted job description — not a shared question bank reused across employers.
How accurate is the kit?
Output quality tracks the job description you paste and the AI systems that generate the kit. A full, specific posting produces sharper questions; a thin or vague posting produces thinner output. Content is AI-generated — predictive and role-specific, not a guarantee of what your interviewer will ask. Always review your kit before interview day. See our AI content terms.
Will this get me the job or an interview?
No. This product is a last-minute revision aid — interview questions and answer outlines built from your JD. It does not guarantee interview selection, interview performance, an offer, or employment. Use it to prepare; hiring decisions stay with the employer.
Will this work for my role and industry?
Yes. The product is built for any role and any industry — software engineering, finance, healthcare, civil engineering, fresh graduates, career switchers, and more. Only the job description changes; the structure stays the same. Round labels (phone screen, technical, case study, etc.) are generated from your industry and seniority, not hardcoded.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no account, no login, and no sign-up. Paste your JD, preview for free, pay once if you want the full kit. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the product.
What happens to my job description after I paste it?
Your pasted job description is sent directly to our AI system and processed only to generate your kit — role-specific interview questions, follow-ups, and short answer outlines for the interview round you choose. Your kit is delivered on this page right away.
Free preview sessions are removed after 24 hours. After you unlock a paid kit, it stays on your personal link for 7 days so you can bookmark and reopen it, then is automatically deleted from our servers. Download the .txt anytime for a permanent offline copy.
No account, no sign-up, and no name or email required. No advertising trackers. We do not sell personal data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How long is my kit available online?
After you unlock the full kit, your personal kit URL is valid for 7 days from generation. Bookmark it to reopen and read on our site during that week. After 7 days, server data is wiped automatically. Download the .txt anytime for a permanent offline copy.
Can I download my kit permanently?
Yes. Click Download Kit (.txt) at any time while your kit is open. The file is neatly formatted, roughly 50KB, and yours to keep offline forever — on your phone, laptop, or printed for interview day.
What if I forget to download within 7 days?
After 7 days the online kit link no longer works. That is why a download reminder appears once your full kit is ready — save the .txt when you can. If you already downloaded it, you can re-upload it anytime from the homepage.
Can I re-upload a kit I downloaded earlier?
Yes. Use Upload kit on the homepage (paste your bookmarked kit URL or choose a .txt file), or My kit to reload anything saved in this browser. Re-uploaded kits render with the same visual quality as a freshly generated kit. If you previously generated a kit here, your browser may also offer to reload it automatically on a future visit.
What are revision keywords?
Five short memory anchors per question — each keyword is a maximum of five words. Candidates use them as a last check the night before an interview. Interviewers use the same 25 words per question (5 keywords × 5 words max) as a live scoring sheet during the interview.
What are round selectors?
After the free preview, industry-aware round chips appear below your questions — for example Phone Screen, Technical, or Hiring Manager for senior software roles, or HR Screening and Case Study for finance. Choose 1 round for maximum depth, or up to 2 rounds if you have back-to-back interviews (about 10 deep questions each). We do not offer “all rounds” on a 20-question kit — spreading thin would weaken prep. Your choice changes emphasis and style only; it never introduces content outside your JD.
How is this different from ChatGPT or generic prep?
Generic templates do not know your job. ChatGPT gives unstructured text with no Foundational Questions set, no downloadable kit, and no consistent visual design. This product reads one JD and produces a structured, designed, traceable output — questions ordered the way interviews escalate, keywords for recall, and a permanent .txt file — for $2 with zero friction.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments are processed securely by Dodo Payments. We do not store your card details. Payment confirms that your full kit generation should proceed — the 3 preview questions you already saw render immediately while the remaining content generates in the background.
